After three crazy nights of drones, duds, and drinks, we’re still decompressing from Silicon Valley Fashion Week?. The week did an exemplary job of blurring the lines between tech and fashion, and showcasing how form and function can work together. To continue the conversation (or give you an introduction in case you missed it), we thought we’d highlight some of the fashion-forward commuting accessories that caught our eye at last week’s show.
1. Torch Apparel’s T1 Bike Helmet
Forget worrying about charging your bike lights, losing your bike lights, or getting them stolen. With a focus on safety and style, Torch Apparel’s T1 is a bike helmet in its own lane. With lights in the front AND back, this helmet helps you see the road, and be seen. Grab one now while it’s on sale for just $99.
2. Zackees Turn Signal Gloves
Zackees Turn Signal Gloves finally solve every bike commuter’s worst nightmare: turning. Slide on a pair of these, and the power of the turn signal flows right through your fingertips. With the flip of a switch between your index finger and thumb, you can finally signal safely through the night (and the added grip helps, too). Check them out here, and take advantage of their 35% off sale (current prices are only $55.25 – $65 vs $84.99 – $99.99).
3. Timbuk2 Bags
One of the greatest things about traveling by e-bike is how fast you can get to where you need to go. It could be the grocery store, the library or the mall, but what are you going to do with all of that stuff? Timbuk2’s messenger bags and backpacks are totally winning in the storage and design departments. With a variety of styles and sizes, it’s super easy to find a bag that fits your needs!
4. SOVO Gear
Still waiting for your super powers? Hopefully, the combination of an e-bike and illuminated apparel from SOVO Gear can curb your appetite while you wait. With electroluminescent filaments, you’ll be more visible to traffic at night AND look pretty darn cool at the same time. So until your super powers show up, get lit (and stay safe) with SOVO’s combination of shoelaces, hoodies and lights.
5. FlipSlips by Esther Flatto
Flipslips women’s shoes are for the commuter that wants to move in style. With their flat shape and optional reflective strap, these comfortable, foldable flats keep you seen and noticed!
